“ Remember, David didn’t kill Goliath because he set out to slay giants. He killed Goliath because his dad sent him to take his brother sandwiches, and Goliath got in their way. So you be where you are or you bloom where you’re planted, and if God wants you to go to Egypt, He’ll provide ten jealous brothers and they’ll sell you into slavery.”

Core Beliefs

  1. Jesus Christ alone provides salvation(eternal life) unto men. He is the way, and the truth, and the life(John 14:6).
  2. The main reformed theological doctrines we hold to are The Five Solas, which are:
    • Sola Gratia(Grace Alone)
    • Sola Fide(Faith Alone)
    • Solus Christus(Christ Alone)
    • Soli Deo Gloria(Glory of God Alone)
    • Sola Scriptura(Scripture Alone)
  3. All scripture is inspired by God(2 Tim 3:16). It is unique in many ways such as the types of literature it is composed of. Scripture has a super-natural and authoritative element to it and has proven through prophecy to be completely true and reliable. It also possesses clarity, and is necessary and sufficient for godliness and how to live life.
  4. Living out the gospel means:
    • Responding to the call of God by believing that salvation alones comes through Jesus.
    • Loving other people by sharing the good news of Jesus and putting them first.
    • Being willing to lay our life down for its sake.
    • Having a constant lifestyle of faith and repentance.
    • Maintaining a healthy spiritual life and fellowshiping with other Christians.
  5. There is one Lord, one God who is creator, reigns supreme and sovereign over everything that exists.God is also incontrol of all circumstances, events, information, laws, and powers.
  6. God is self-existent, self-sufficient, and exists in the form of a Trinity where you have The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is distinct, but one God. God possesses many attributes, such as love, grace, wisdom , transcendence , light, eternality, immutability, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, goodness, faithfulness holiness, mercy, immanence, wrath, will, aseity, jealousy, beauty, peace,
    righteousness, unity and justice).
  7. The Bible is God’s story where we see the Trinity at work in which The Father purposed redemption, The Son secured salvation through the cross and resurrection, and The Holy Spirit applying it.(Packer.1993)
  8. The chief purpose of man is to glorify God in all that he does, and to enjoy Him.(Adapted from The Westminster Shorter Catechism) After all, God made man in His own image.
  9. The church as explained by proper doctrine is the body of believers, not a physical building where people just go on Sundays.
  10. Jesus Christ, the Messiah, descendent of David and Abraham is the only begotten Son of God and is King of Kings. He will return a second time to finally vanquish all evil and rule. He is the Alpha and Omega(Rev 22:13). He alone, that is no other God, is the way into The Kingdom of Heaven.
